Center of Power:Parliament Or People?

The entire debate of civil society Vs Govt, and thereafter in Parliament Governing Party Vs Opposition on Lokpal sometime shifted to point that Parliament is supreme authority to make rule and not the ordinary, common people of civil society.


All these guys in Govt claim to have knowledge of Constitution of India and so from opposition. I found one line, Yes One line and that too I think first line of Constitution, which makes it very transparent that is "We the people of India".


Constitution puts 'We the people of India ' above the Parliament.
