How would be history of our time, written?

I am a psychology student too in a sense, that is where I am good at, Infect I good in that only. Ohh..aha....Half of my life passed to know my inner voice :-)..
So asking how would be our history, is it not a hypothetical question?
Anyway So I spend lots of time in behavioral aspect of People. How do they react in different situation. In recent time I am amazed to see how people behave? And those are not the illiterate people! Mind you. I was hunting the reason and found lots of things like Cunningness, Stress, Job Insecurity, So called professionalism, So call literacy without learning core values and blaw blaw..But in recent time I came across this guy "Peter Drucker" and let me tell you, I read lots of things in physiology so its not easy to impress me. But he is truly amazing. One quote that really impress me and gave answers to all of my questions above, I am going to present here because I know it could solve your lots of questions too..Please read it and think more n more. You will come to know about lots of things..
So here I go, I means Mr Drucker goes:
"In a few hundred years, when the history of our time will be written from a long-term perspective, it is likely that the most important event historians will see is not technology, not the Internet, not e-commerce. It is an unprecedented change in the human condition. For the first time - literally - substantial and rapidly growing numbers of people have choices. For the first time, they will have to manage themselves. And society is totally unprepared for it."

And now to give more food for reader's thoughts, let me pull out 3 things out of this quote which are at core:
- More People have choices
- People have to manage themselves
And shockingly and this one gives answers to all my questions:
- People are totally unprepared for it (Choice n Managing themselves).
No Govt and politicians are thinking-acting on this, a change, a situation which could lead to total social, psychology chaos in future!
